Andy Heath, doing business as Heath Partners, LLC (formed in Charlotte in the late 1990’s as a development company), now specializes in Land Brokerage in the Catawba River Valley of South Carolina, to date primarily Lancaster and Chester Counties.
Although Heath lives in Charlotte, in 2016 he opened an office in Lancaster, SC, sharing space with Lindsay Pettus, a well-known land broker, now retired, and the Katawba Valley Land Trust which is one of the largest land trusts in the area. KVLT is focused on managing large tracts of land in the Catawba River valley which have been placed under conservation easements. Heath has been involved with a number of substantial land purchase and sale transactions in Lancaster County since opening his office there.
Heath has been in the commercial real estate development business for more than 40 years. He started his career with The Bissell Companies, a pre-eminent developer of many projects at SouthPark and the master-developer of Ballantyne. Heath then worked for Faison Associates identifying retail, office, and hotel development opportunities across the Southeast.
In 1987 he partnered with Smoky Bissell and Johnny Harris (now Lincoln, Harris) to form a joint venture known as Bissell, Harris, Heath to develop 65 acres across from SouthPark Mall known as Carnegie Center. This Multi-Use development’s best known component is the Rotunda Building with its 600-foot long fountain. Carnegie Center is now a thriving Mixed-Use development with office, hotel, multi-family, restaurant and retail uses.
Subsequent to Carnegie Center, Heath Partners developed several specialized projects among which are Highgrove, a single-family traditional walking neighborhood near Ballantyne, and 3030 South, a 115-unit mixed-use condominium project on Charlotte’s first Light Rail Line in South End. Andy Heath has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with land development and selling-purchase issues. His contacts in the real estate industry run deep and wide.
